Mixed start for the bulldogs

On Saturday, August 29th, the Bulldogs got their season up and running with a scrimmage with USCGA & Sacret Heart at Yale Rugby's grounds.

This proved to be an excellent exercise, with each player that completed the baseline tackle test able to take the field and get the cob webs off. After a slow start, the day finished 2-2 for the Bulldogs. Going 1-1 with both teams. USCGA were too strong in game one, scoring some well worked tries against some tired bodies. In match two, Sacret Heart came out on top after scoring late in the game. The last two fixtures where better from the Bulldogs, with some well worked tries courtesy of Louis Metcalfe 16' and Seth Massey 16'. We wish both teams the very best in their respective competitions.

New players Denis Walsh G.S' and Eric Williams 16' got there chance to play a game for the first time, and came through in flying colors.

There were only a few minor injury concerns, with captain John Donovan receiving a number of stitch. The squad were back out for pre season first thing on Monday morning,  as they continue to build towards their Ivy Conference campaign.

Lots to improve on before AIC this Saturday away.
