Yale lost out to a very strong Fairfield team 56-12 last weekend. Fairfield, boasting 12 new freshmen recruits, 9 of which started were a formidable opponent throughout the match. Yale started the game slowly, struggling to maintain possession through uncharacteristic errors, that resulted in Fairfield dominating both territory and possession stats. Despite the loss, the team will use this as a learning opportunity and will look to bounce back with a positive performance on Saturday, September 14th, away to Ivy League opponents, Columbia.
The development team, boasting 16 new players, played a hard-fought match with Fairfield B-side, losing 44-21.
